Performance Golf Academy
The Performance Golf Academy offers a highly personalized teaching style that allows for a relaxed, enjoyable, learning atmosphere. In addition to private lessons, our professionals offer semi-private lessons, group classes, and clinics. Classes and clinics are limited to a maximum of eight students per teaching professional to ensure every student receives personalized instruction. All aspects of the game are taught with proven fundamentals and principles in a simple and understandable way. We employ state-of-the-art teaching tools and golf training aids including video analysis. All lessons, classes and clinics include balls and loaner clubs.

Liza Abood, PGA/LPGA Golf Professional teaches at the Olney Golf Park. A native of the Washington metropolitan area, and a graduate from the University of Maryland, Liza’s childhood days included many rounds of golf.
The highlights of Liza’s successful professional career include being named the 2004 PGA Middle Atlantic Player of the Year and finishing 5th in the 2003 LPGA Teaching and Club Professional National Championship. And also, Golf Range Magazine awarded her as one of their “Top 50 Golf Instructors in America”
Liza has been a Class A Member of the PGA since 1989 and a Class A Member of the LPGA since 1995. She exhibits impressive teaching credentials and many professional affiliations with prestigious clubs. She has taught golf at the following Florida clubs: Fisher Island, South Beach, Miami; Indian Creek Country Club, Miami Beach, Florida; Grand Harbor, Vero Beach; and PGA National, North Palm Beach. She has also instructed at the TPC at Avenel, Potomac, Maryland; The Weston Golf Club, Weston, Massachusetts; and the Scarsdale Golf Club, Hartsdale, New York.
Currently, Liza is teaching private, group and junior lessons at the Olney Golf Park, and she is available for playing lessons. She also teaches the Golf School for Women series.

Brendan Horton

Brendan was the assistant golf coach at Colorado College for two years while teaching chemistry there. He turned professional in 2000 and played on the Hooters, Tear Drop, and Moonlight mini tours from 1998 through 2002. Brendan has worked at Olney Golf Park since 2000 and has been an assistant professional since 2004. As an amateur golfer, he played for and captained his high school and college teams, and was selected as a member of the Division III All-Coaches Team.

Kevin Rosenberg
Born and raised in Montgomery county, Maryland, Kevin has been a lover of not only the game of golf but the golf swing itself since the age of five where he grew up first playing at Argyle Country Club. After a successful Junior career. He moved on to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he was a walk-on for 2 years.
Kevin, returned to Maryland after graduating with a Bachelor Degree, majoring in Psychology And became a registered investment advisor until 2015, when he decided to follow his passion and entered the golf industry.
Working his way up from a golf shop cashier at Maryland National Golf Links to First Assistant Golf Professional at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana point, California. Kevin has been groomed by some of the best instructors in the game.
Originally coached by Wayne DeFrancesco, one of the top instructors in the country. Kevin would then move on to learn under instructors such as Seth Glasgow who helped create the Nicklaus / Flick Golf Academy. Sean Lenyai one of the original aim point instructors, Randy Chang the preeminent top instructor in Southern California, just to name a few along with teachers from the Rick Smith coaching tree and the David Leadbetter Academy.
He is extremely excited to return to the DC metropolitan area to continue to grow the game of golf through clear and concise instruction with FUN as the basic principle for success.
