Club Fitting Services

Olney Golf Park has been recognized by major club manufacturers as one of the top custom club-fitting facilities in the nation. We provide individual fitting sessions for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters, as well as a complete-set fitting. Our certified fitting professionals will make it easy and convenient for you to find the best set make-up for your game, with the specifications and components that allow you to play your best.

To ensure the best fit, it is essential to not just hit the clubs you are interested in playing, but to see the ball fly, roll, and spin when it hits a real targets. Our facility is designed to do just that with five real bent grass target greens, a grass tee and an extensive short game area with a 35,000 sq.-ft. putting green and  bent grass fairways and greens, greenside and fairways and bunkers.

Our professional staff of certified club fitters will help you understand the important factors in selecting your next set of clubs. We'll help you choose the best head design, length, lie angle and shaft type, including weight, flex, and kick point. We use iron fitting systems from a variety of major manufacturers, offering a wide variety of specifications for you to try.

We use the Vector Launch Monitor for driver fittings to ensure that what you see, feel, and hear from a driver is what you get out of the ball. This high-tech tool is invaluable for fitting a player to the modern driver and it allows us to optimize launch conditions, providing you with the most yardage and consistency that your swing can produce. An average player, who is not properly fit for the driver, can gain as much as 25 yards by using a driver that produces the right launch angle and spin rate. Better players can gain 10-20 yards. The launch monitor can also be used with better players to distinguish which irons and shafts provide the best shot characteristics. In short, it corroborates what the player and the fitting professional see, helping ensure you get the best results from your equipment.

The club fitting process can also be used to customize the clubs you've had for years. Our club repair services can make almost any alterations you need. We have hundreds of demo drivers, irons, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges and putters for you to try on the range and on our short game facility. In addition, our demo irons are complete sets so you can hit every club from pitching wedge to 3-iron — a particularly important option when putting together a combination set or testing graduated sets of clubs. So come and visit the facility today, test our clubs and get fit so you can play your best golf.

Why You Can't Get Fit on the Internet or when hitting into a Net

Like each persons personality, each golf swing is unique to that person. Golf club manufacturers continue to develop fitting systems to help golf professional’s determine which golf clubs perfectly match different swings and launch conditions. These launch conditions are determined by many different elements including; launch angle, spin rate and ball speed. Every one of these measurements needs to be evaluated by swinging a golf club, measuring the impact on the golf ball, and watching the ball flight to validate the readings.

At Olney Golf Park we believe the only proper approach to club fitting is through state-of-the art club fitting technology used by highly trained golf professionals in an on-range setting.  We use the component carts from TaylorMade, Callaway, NIKE, and Titleist in addition to fitting carts from Mizuno, PING, Cobra, Adams , and Tour Edge.  Fittings are performed in our “on range” studio or grass tee; with launch readings from Vector and Vector Pro launch monitors.
